Terms of Service

By creating a Sentra account or using the Sentra app or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Sentra.

Sentra is market-information and intelligence software. It helps you follow companies you choose, tracks relevant news and market events for them, and summarizes and contextualizes that information — including with AI. Sentra is not an investment adviser, and using Sentra doesn't create an advisory relationship. See Disclaimer.

You need an account to use Sentra, created via Firebase Authentication with an email address and password (or Google Sign-In). You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. Email verification is available but not required to use the app.

You agree not to:

• use Sentra for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to Sentra's systems or other accounts;
• scrape, systematically extract, or bulk-collect data from Sentra;
• reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits;
• circumvent plan limits (e.g. watchlist size, alert caps) through automation; or
• misuse Ask Sentra or other AI features — for example, attempting to make them generate investment recommendations they're designed not to give.

Sentra sources news and market-event information from third parties. This information can be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally inaccurate, and its availability can change. Sentra doesn't guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

Some content in Sentra is machine-generated. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and is provided for informational context only — it's not a guarantee of correctness, and Ask Sentra only answers a controlled set of supported questions grounded in Sentra's own data, not open-ended queries.

Nothing in Sentra — materiality scores, sentiment tags, AI summaries, Ask Sentra answers, notifications, or Daily Brief content — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything, a price target, or personalized investment or portfolio advice. See Disclaimer for the full explanation.

Sentra offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock a higher watchlist limit, a higher daily alert cap, and other plan-dependent features. Plan names, limits, and prices are determined by Sentra's own systems and can change — we don't publish fixed prices in these Terms, since they're not fixed. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled. Access to paid features is confirmed against your account's actual subscription status, not assumed from a purchase alone.

Depending on how you subscribed, your payment is processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or Razorpay. Canceling your subscription within the Sentra app updates your plan in Sentra, but it doesn't necessarily cancel billing with the payment provider you used. If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, you may also need to cancel directly through your Google Play or App Store account to stop future charges there. We recommend checking your subscription status with whichever provider you paid through if you're unsure whether billing has actually stopped.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of Sentra at any time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Sentra and its content, design, and branding belong to us or our licensors. Using Sentra doesn't give you any ownership rights in it. We don't currently claim any registered trademarks here.

Sentra relies on third-party services (including news and market-data providers, OpenAI, Firebase, and payment processors). We're not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party content or services, which are governed by their own terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sentra if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You can stop using Sentra, or delete your account, at any time.

See Delete Account for how to delete your account and exactly what that does — deletion deactivates your account immediately, but doesn't instantly erase every record, and doesn't cancel an active subscription on its own.

Sentra is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. See Disclaimer for the full financial and AI disclosures, which these Terms incorporate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sentra isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on information in it. This section's enforceability depends on the governing law that applies to your use of Sentra (§20), which isn't finalized yet.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of Sentra. This doesn't apply to our own violations of these Terms or applicable law.

We may update these Terms as Sentra changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date once these Terms are in effect.
